The teenagers of our days have many hobbies and concerns. Skateboarding is seen as a daily activity, or for some it can be a way of life. In order to reflect this activity, the skaters need special clothing, and skate shirts make their life and their hobby match. We can see a resemblance between normal shirts and skate shirts, but in fact, skate shirts are really different and special. If one wants to personalize the skates, you can be sure that he wants to personalize his shirts too. If you are interested in it, you can introduce images, drawings, that don`t follow a particular pattern most of the time. Usually, skaters prefer dark colors, but it`s not a general rule. The main idea of skate shirts is to reflect the way of life of the modern adolescent that doesn’t want to explain himself through words and that doesn’t want to bend to rules and rigors.

Skull Shirts are very popular, they seem to have a universal look to them. You may see them mainly on black t-shirts but that isn’t the only color that they are printed on. Many people associate a skull with a pirate so with the popularity of Johnny Depp and his character in that area more people are interested in them than before.

Skull shirts have long been associated with the attire of skaters. It can be a symbol of their daredevil antics and fearless feats that they attempt to complete while on a skateboard. Others just think it is really cool, and they like to have clothing that is very stylish. The popular Ed Hardy line uses skulls frequently. It isn’t uncommon to see teenagers wearing them often.

Skull shirts aren’t just for boys either, as you will notice if you are shopping for them. There are many different styles for girls as well. Some of them have the skull in rhinestones instead of painted on the shirt. Girls seem to like glittery shirts so this is one style that sells very well.

Another type that girls enjoy has skulls of different colors and in different directions on a shirt. Many girls like the fact that a skull can help them to change their identity into one of a girl that is tough and that isn’t afraid.

If you are interested in skull shirts, you should go to the local mall. Many retailers there will have several for you to choose from. You can also shop for them online by style, color, or price. Should you want one with a particular skull, you can even have shirts customized to meet your needs.

The cost of skull shirts depends on many factors so do what you can to get your money’s worth. The brand as well as the quality of the shirt is going to affect what you will pay for it. Generally summer tops and t-shirts will be more affordable then button down shirts with a skull on the back of it.

It can be fun and adventurous to shop for skull shirts as well as to wear them. For some, this will be a passing trend that has come along but will soon be gone. For others though they wore these types of shirts before they were so popular. They will still be doing so later on as well.

Skate Shirts are popular items, and there continues to be more and more of them out there. Many professional skaters have teamed up with different clothing brands to offer spectacular shirts. Apart from the shirts the skateboards themselves are also getting more and more artistic. You will find most of them to be very colorful and offer great pictures. The image of a skater is adventure and being fearless, so these shirts need to convey such a message.

There are some popular images that you will see, including the skull and crossbones. They can add some mystery to the impression someone gets when they see a person wearing this type of shirt. You will find plenty of these skate shirts that have pictures of professional skaters in a variety of moves. Many young kids are in awe of what these amazing athletes are able to accomplish. They would love to be able to do the same things on their own skateboards. Skater shirts generally display something that you aspire to be or do.

Another type of skate shirts though are short sleeved with buttons on the front. They can be worn one of two ways. A common way is to button up the shirt with a t-shirt underneath or by itself. The other is to wear a shirt under it and to leave the buttons open. Many skaters do this because they have learned layering their clothing allows them to stay comfortable all day long.

Skate shirts are often very loose and comfortable. They allow for full movement of the body while skateboarding in them. While these are mainly made for guys, there are some girls that love this sport. You will find that a few specialty shops online also cater to them with shirts that they will really enjoy. It is certainly a better option than just buying guy skate shirts to wear due to a lack of selection. Some of the hottest brands out there are Element and Zoo York but also a brand like Hustler is popular with skaters. Element Shirts are generally very innovative with many fantastic designs.

It can be fun to shop for skateboard shirts due to the fact that there are so many of them out there to choose from. You can find many that are a good price to fit your budget as well. Some of them do have a very high price tag associated with them though due to the brand and the area of skating they happen to be associated with. As well as the decks, skateboards and all the other material it is often something you have to dearly pay for. Unfortunately we don’t offer skateboards or other skater gear

The fact that there is so much variety too when it comes to skate shirts makes them quite a hit. Most parents are much more accepting of baggy shirts than they are of baggy pants. This can be a good compromise when you are dealing with teenagers who want to have their own look.

Soon we will be changing a big part of our collection. We are not yet 100% sure in which direction to go but it seems most of you out there are more and more interested in Skull Shirts and Video Game related Shirts. It turns we have the famous 80/20% economical model right on out site! 80% of the visitors buy out of 20% of the t-shirts, and the other way around. Its getting quite expensive to keep stock for shirts that we don’t regularly sell. The skull shirts have been the most popular and we will get more and amazing skull designs in shortly. Not far behind are skate shirts and video game shirts like some of our Supermario shirts. Vintage shirts seem to be quite vintage in popularity too :), although we will update some of our vintage designs as there is a lot of cool stuff out to get. For some of the other categories, please make sure you are quick to purchase your favorite shirt as some of them won’t be on the site much longer. Most emails we have been getting have been about new designs and recommendations for tattoo and skull shirts and we really do appreciate the input. New cartoon shirts are on the way. We will have new apparel with superheroes, captain america, h-man, power rangers, super mario and several marvel characters. It will probably be 1-2 weeks before the will be on the site. The captain america shirts are really something to look forward to. Other comics shirts as well as the super mario shirts are also top notch. Let us know if you would like to see other marvel superheroes like x-man or spiderman. If we don’t have it on the site doesn’t mean we can’t get it! I will be wearing captain america the rest of the year! :)

blue shirts? or other colors? what is the best? what defines the best color? is a color personal? do I make it look nice? Or does it make me look nice? Blue shirts look good on me, that is why I wear them. Only the funny ones! All blue shirts apparel looks good on me. Especially skate shirts. There are days that I might wear red, black, white or yellow shirts. Whatever makes me feel good. What is your color? I might change! But my heart is with blue. blue shirts… sigh…

I am an admirer of the Japanese Art of calligraphy. We have Japanese Shirts in different styles and we are happy to now add some Kanji Shirts and anime T-shirts to the shop. I had been looking for cool Kanji shirts for a long time actually but as many other specific shirts they are hard to source. One of the main fashion arts in Japan is to properly and artistically display parts of Japanese culture in print designs. The Kanji art is a famous example of this. Together with the tattoo art shirts we have from Shiroi Neko they form two of the most popular shirt styles for Japanese youth today. And although Asians are more frequently taking over parts of western culture, and also display this in their choice of shirts (skate shirts for example very popular now in Asia), traditional Japanese icons are still very popular in fashion. I think the shirts apparel we offer today reflects a mixed version of Western and Asian taste. At least I hope so! :) All we need is little more J-ROCK!

2 short introductions for new apparel. One is a DJ shirt and the other is a Japanese shirt.

Cassette Shirt by Shiroi Neko, vintage shirt. Especially at parties, but basically anywhere, I see more and more people wearing music wear; dj shirts, vinyl shirts, cassette shirts, oldskool music gear prints, party apparel. All kinds of different stuff. I have made a habit of wearing a shirt with either a vinyl or cassette print on it to parties, because anything after that era just…sucks. I always get good responses and mostly they are cool shirts too. I found I am not alone. Both artists and consumers are seemingly jumping at this new trend (did I start this??). Some of my favorite artists I buy from now have new designs with prints of this or similar topics. One of them is this Cassette Shirt. The quality is exceptional, like the other Shiroi Neko Shirts. Going from DJ apparel to tattoo wear to cartoon shirts to comics tees, they never seem to amaze me. Shiroi Neko, new world order!

Geisha Shirt! We have quite a few items with Asian Girls on it and I really like most of them. The funny thing is that all the prints have something to say. Now, could you imagine the same thing with western girls on them? No… you couldn’t… Somehow Asian people like to act out or behave within specific cultural roles. Think about the Geisha for example. Or the asian schoolgirl. Cosplay with its outrages costumes. Samurai or martial arts. And so on. The Japanese Shirts we have with girl on them depict some of the stereotypes out there; the party girl, the geisha, the schoolgirl…we even have a sexy girl shirt. The question is of course…who would wear this stuff :)?? And that is a good questions. I don’t know yet but we will find out soon enough. I wear them anyway! The geisha shirt is my favorite out of the series, just ahead of the Japanese schoolgirl shirt.

I was asked this week what kind of identity our shop has, or what the theme of the shirts apparel is. We have given this a lot of thought but it turns out it is, at this moment, not that clear. We proclaim elsewhere on the site that we sell local shirts from all over the world and although that is true it doesn’t really say that much. Shirts all over the world more and more portray international logo’s, ideas or prints. We started the site because we came across so many interesting t-shirts during our travels and always got amazing response back home. Once started we found that some sorts of apparel do sell and others don’t. When I buy shirts for the shop I try to ask myself; do these shirts have blood, soul, spirit or something extra? That question led to what we offer today. The shirt that you see here on the left is a good example. If someone would ask me what kind of shirt it is I would find it pretty difficult to answer him. At the same time the shirt has something, something mystical, artful or special. These kind of things are difficult to point your finger on. We called it Art and it can be found in the art shirts category in the shop. Most of all I feel the shop is still evolving, slowly we are moving our real identity and real goal; world domination. :) new day new shirts apparel!
